If you are a fan of exotic nature and you are interested in the world of the chimpanzee family, then 90 unique species of primates will open your eyes to the amazing and beautiful Gombe National Park & ​​Kigoma National Park. This reserve is the smallest in Tanzania, as it has only 52 km2. The park is located off the coast of Lake Tanganyika, six kilometers north of Kigoma. Since the park can only be accessed by boat, you will be able to swim along the longest lake with freshwater not only in Africa but in the world. Previously, it was also called bottomless, because the depth is fixed along with Lake Baikal. By volume it is the second in the world. There are 170 species of endemic species in the lake, so if there is a scuba diving, the magnificence of the underwater world is awaiting you, along the waters of which Cichlidae (cichlids) float majestically. From industrial fish, you can meet flocks of herring sardines, among them: Limnotrassa myodon (Limnothrissa miodon), Stolotrissa tanganica (Stolothrissa tanganicae) and many other varieties. The history of the park's appearance began in 1960, thanks to Jane Goodall, who organized a scientific project to study chimpanzees. The information niche of this research is being replenished so far. The little monkey Fifi, learning the habits of which the project was founded, grew up a big and good-natured primacy. Meet her, as well as other chimpanzees Kakomba, olive baboons and colobus, you can in the reserve. The ecosystem of the park is filled with both tropical forests and a bamboo copse. Sometimes high hills rise up, thus towering over the valleys, as if protecting them from hot winds. Among branches, antelope roam, the hippopotamuses are humming in the sun and leopards are showing their spotted backs. You should beware of snakes. About ten species of reptiles are constantly on guard guarding the reserve. People believe that if you walk through the park with kind thoughts, wise animals feel your spirit, not disturbing, but only by giving you the opportunity to enjoy local beauties. In the Park "Gombe-Stream" have found their home of 200 species of birds. An extraordinarily fascinating phenomenon fluttering from branch to branch is a fire sparrow, the shade of feathers resembles a mottled, yellow-orange flower. Also impressive is a tiny paradise flycatcher, flying a long, red tail behind him. In addition to these inhabitants you can see: palm fretboard, tropical boboo, crowned eagle and many other unusual birds.
